One Point Five Plus
One Point Five Plus is an installation of handmade flags and a video series created from flagmakers. This project is related to another project FlagTag. These handmade flags were created from the designs of FlagTag participants. The designs were taken to a local seamstress who handmade each one. A video series was also created from 3 other participants who felt compelled to share their stories as children of immigrants.

We were asked by the team of LA28 to find what made LA so special. As Angelenos ourselves, we looked at our experiences for research. We found out that LA was so unique because of the different different colors, textures and stories that come together. We were all children of immigrants and that perspective was so important and empowering to share. Luckily, we lived in a city where there were so many different perspectives and people. So with that, we felt compelled to share the perspectives and experiences that we gathered.
In addition to the prompt that was given to us by the LA28 team, we were also responding to America's response to Trump's election. It was a time we felt that voices were not heard, and people were being persecuted for being different.
Share the stories of these "different" people and create deeper empathy and appreciation. Break stereotypes and stigmas that come with being different.
